Pilateso is a boutique wellness studio dedicated to helping you feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected to your body. Our approach blends expert instruction with thoughtful programming, creating an environment where every body feels supported and empowered.
We believe movement should feel encouraging — not intimidating. That’s why our classes are designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re beginning your fitness journey or refining your practice.
These classes are designed for anyone new to reformer Pilates or returning after a break. You’ll learn how the reformer works, explore fundamental movements, and build confidence in a supportive, unhurried environment. We take things step by step, ensuring you feel comfortable, safe, and ready to enjoy regular classes. You must attend at least 3 of these classes before attending any other reformer classes.
These classes focus on building strong foundations in a supportive and progressive way. You’ll work on core strength, alignment, mobility, and control while learning key reformer exercises and transitions. These classes are ideal for beginners who have completed an Introduction to Reformer, or for anyone wanting to refine technique, build confidence, and move with greater awareness and strength.
These classes are designed for those with a foundational understanding of Reformer techniques who are ready to take their skills to the next level. They focus on refining your form while introducing more challenging exercises that emphasise strength, flexibility, and coordination. You'll explore a variety of movements that engage your entire body, with an emphasis on core stability and alignment.
These classes are our most advanced offering, designed for experienced clients with strong technique, body awareness, and confidence on the reformer. These sessions feature complex sequences, higher intensity, and advanced variations that challenge strength, stability, coordination, and control. Classes move at a quicker pace while maintaining precision, making them ideal for those seeking to push their practice and explore the full potential of the reformer.
Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, full-body exercise method performed on a specialised piece of equipment called a reformer, which uses springs, pulleys, and a moving carriage to create resistance and support. It focuses on controlled, precise movement to build strength, improve flexibility, enhance posture, and support joint health, all while emphasising breath and core control. Suitable for all fitness levels, Reformer Pilates can be adapted to be gentle or highly challenging, making it an effective and versatile way to move better, feel stronger, and support everyday life.
At Pilateso we assign levels to classes so you know what to expect. If you’re new to Pilates, after you attend Introduction to Reformer classes, we will let you know which level is right for you.

This high intensity workout will challenge you, build strength, power, and improve your cardiovascular health. This is a hybrid class done on the reformer and the mat.
A class focused on enhancing flexibility, improving joint range of motion, and promoting overall body awareness through targeted movements and stretches. (This class is mat based.)
A class designed to enhance bone density and strength through resistance training, helping to maintain mobility and prevent osteoporosis as we age. (This class is mat based.)

The backcare workshop started off with an introduction to our spine and the many muscles that enable movement, and how they are all interconnected. I was very impressed with the depth of Charlene's knowledge, she gave me a much greater understanding of my body and the way it works. There were visualisation techniques followed by stretching exercises, some of which were challenging but not too difficult! Charlene was very vigilant throughout, checking on our posture and making sure we were comfortable with the exercises. I felt I learnt a great deal, particularly in relation to my own back issues. I would highly recommend Charlene, not only is she a great pilates instructor she's a lovely person. Just to update this review, it is now three days since I took part in the backcare workshop and my back has never felt better.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a sports massage that truly transformed my athletic performance. From start to finish, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere exuded professionalism and relaxation. Charlene took the time to understand my specific needs and concerns, creating a tailored session that addressed my pre-event tension. The first massage alone was a revelation – a perfect blend of skilful technique and soothing ambiance that immediately put me at ease. As an athlete preparing for a significant event, the pre-event massage played a pivotal role in calming my nerves and loosening tight muscles. I entered the competition feeling more flexible and focused than ever before. What truly amazed me was the noticeable difference in my ability to compete at my best without the fear of injury. The massage helped enhance my overall range of motion, contributing to a smoother and more controlled performance. The results spoke for themselves – not only did I achieve my second-best time ever, but I also did so with a level of comfort and confidence that I hadn't experienced in a long time. The immediate impact on my performance was impressive, but the benefits extended beyond the event itself. Post-event recovery is often a crucial phase, and this sports massage proved to be a game-changer in reducing my recovery time. The therapist's expertise in targeting specific muscle groups helped alleviate post-competition soreness and stiffness. I found myself bouncing back faster than expected, ready to get back to training without the usual lag in recovery.

I’ve had an ongoing issue with trapped knots under my shoulder blades for quite some time and was recommended to give Pilateso studio a try, well I wasn’t and am still not disappointed! I’ve had 2 deep sports massage sessions and am already feeling the benefits of them, I have more movement in my shoulders and just generally feel more relaxed. Charlene made me feel comfortable and relaxed as she explained the massage process as she went along. Will 100% be booking in for more massages very soon.

Recently had a sports massage with Charlene after I'd had major problems with my lower back caused from ligaments. I can not thank Charlene enough; my back feels absolutely amazing and the pain has subsided. She fully understood my needs and has sent several follow up messages to check on my recovery. Highly recommend.

Charlene is absolutely amazing!! I love my reformer Pilates classes as we do something different each time and Charlene makes the classes enjoyable and lots of fun. I always come out of the classes feeling energised and rejuvenated. I had a knee injury earlier this year and lately have been getting headaches and Charlene has been so wonderful in helping with pain management. I've had 1-2-1 sessions with her and found them so helpful as they were tailored specifically for my needs. I cannot recommend her enough!! X

Charlene is brilliant. She cares about all her students , she offers advice and guidance and adjusts the class to suit everyone’s abilities. If I could , I would go everyday as every class is different and challenging . Very lucky to have found her .

Her expertise in combining reformer Pilates and sports massage played a vital role in helping me overcome a debilitating groin and hamstring injury and ultimately enabled me to complete a half marathon! From the first session, I knew I was in capable hands. Charlene attentively listened to my concerns, thoroughly assessed my injury, and developed a personalised plan to address my specific needs. Her knowledge of anatomy and understanding of how the body functions were impressive, instilling confidence in her ability to guide me towards a successful recovery. The combination of reformer Pilates and sports massage proved to be a winning formula. The reformer Pilates exercises were carefully tailored to gradually rebuild strength, flexibility, and stability in my injured areas. The sports massages were an absolute game-changer. Charlene skilfully not only relieved tension and tightness but also targeted the deep-rooted issues contributing to my injury. Charlene discussed areas I wanted to change, get deep into purpose and outcomes, before delivering a tailor made hypnotherapy session to explore my past and the roots of the problem. This was followed up with a personal tailored hypnotherapy recording for me to use at home in my own time to deal the issues that came out. Charlene is a very attentive listener, generous with her time and made me feel at ease to open up. She was professional, non-judgmental, and quick to deliver the tailor made recording session.

I have been having weekly 1-2-1s with Charlene for 2 months now due to shoulder pain, and I must say, it’s been an absolute game-changer! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. She made sure to understand my concerns and goals, paying close attention to my shoulder pain. She took time to access my movements to understand the best way to help me using a combination of tailored reformer Pilates exercises and sports massage. This has been incredibly effective in freeing up my shoulders, improving my movement and greatly reducing the pain. Charlene has been patient, encouraging, and highly skilled in guiding me through each exercise, paying attention to my form and ensuring that I perform them correctly and safely. In just a few weeks of regular sessions, I noticed a significant improvement in my shoulder mobility and a reduction in pain. I was amazed at how the combination of sports massage and targeted exercises could have such a positive impact on my overall well-being. I am so grateful.

Absolutely LOVE these classes and couldn't recommend them highly enough. As soon as my class finishes, I'm looking forward to the next one. The groups are small so each class is personal to our individual needs and Charlene is just fabulous. I had my first taste of reflexology with Charlene a few weeks ago which was amazing and my husband recently had a massage and said he felt great working out the following day. Just amazing

I booked a massage recently with Charlene and was a little dubious when she said she was home based but had a studio in her back garden. Needless to say, she was welcoming and the facilities comfortable. The massage was very good and she was very attentive asking about pressure, where to focus and took her time explaining different aspects of the massage. I have booked in a further session and am looking into attending her pilate sessions as well.

I cannot recommend Charlene enough! It’s helped strengthen my core, posture and meet some lovely people including our very own Charlene. I love that it’s intimate and she not only works you but also gives you so much information about why we do certain movements. It’s a lot of fun and will leave you feeling wholesome 💚

I’ve been attending reformer classes at Pilateso for over a year now and I feel stronger and more balanced. The classes are varied and the instructor, Charlene, is kind and encouraging. I always leave class feeling glad I went!

If you need to cancel a class, please do so with more than 48 hours’ notice. When cancelled within this time frame, a class credit will be issued to your account.
Please note: credits must be used according to our Cancellation Policy, and there is a limit on how many cancellations are eligible for credit.
No. All classes and memberships are non-transferable and must be used by the person who purchased them. Friends or family members cannot attend in your place.
Our studio is fully equipped with everything you need for your workout.
However, we do require all clients to use their own personal reformer mat, which can be purchased in-studio for £25.
All proceeds from mat sales go directly to the Tyler Abdul Foundation (TyFo), supporting youth mental health and suicide prevention.
You’ll also need to wear sticky socks for safety and hygiene. These can be purchased in the studio if you don’t already have a pair.
Not at all! Pilates is suitable for all fitness levels.
